About the event
In this advanced weaving class we will discuss colour theory basics, drafting a design, and texture techniques. It is recommended that students know how to warp a frame loom and plain weave prior to class for optimal success.
Class agenda:
- Introductions and brief history of contemporary tapestry weaving (15 mins)
- Lesson on colour theory and design (30 mins)
- Working on design sketches (30 mins)
- Weaving (1.5 hr)
- Wrap up (15 mins)
