This is a basic felting class for students with little to no experience or knowledge of wet felting. Students will be creating an original piece of felted fabric which the student can then transform into an item of their own choosing (small purse/bag, wall hanging, eyeglass case, coaster, etc). 1n the first 1 12/ hour we will cover topics including: a brief history of wool and its use in felting, how felting occurs, and the felting process using the wet felting technique. Instructor demonstration and hands on assistance will provide students with a small felted sampler to take home. 

In the final hour we will use these new skills to create a piece of Nuno Felting- felting onto fabric. 

All materials are provided, however, students may want to bring an apron and towel as we will be working with soap and water.
