Intro to Tapestry Weaving on a Frame Loom ($95)

In this 3-hr workshop for complete beginners, students will learn essential skills of traditional tapestry weaving. The instructor will demonstrate the process of warping a loom and then students will have the opportunity to practice tabby (plain) weaving, colour blending, creating woven shapes, and finishing a project.

Students will leave with a small postcard-sized tapestry.

Looms and materials will be provided. Students are welcome to bring a small piece of driftwood or a stick to hang your finished work on or a dowel will be provided if needed.
